Daddy time

Isn't this so adorable? They just sat there and read books. Paul turned the pages and Lydia made all the sound effects. It was one of those moments you realize how good you have it.

Lydia's Birthday

She's TWO can you believe it?

Well, we had a great day. A new member of our ward and a few neighbors came to celebrate. Lydia had just woken up and kind of had no idea what was going on. When she caught on she wanted to party all night!

You know it's HOT HOT HOT

Yes, it is HOT out here. Not today, but a few weeks ago we were on the brink melting. our a/c was out so all I could do was keep the kids in a cool bath or cool off with wet rags. They remained so cheery and happy that I couldn't help but let them eat popcicles all day. Well, you're only a kid once and popcicles were made for summer and bright red mustaches.

Big Paul Tall Paul

A little more than a month ago Grandpa Lyman came to visit and meet his newest little grandchild and name sake. So, I'm so used to the name "Paul" being my baby that I would say things like, "How are you Paul, do you need to eat?" or "Paul, do you have stinky pants? Do you need a new diaper" or "Do you need your binky Paul, you look so tired" and my instictively humorous father in law would be quick to answer, "Oh no, I just ate..." or "I thought I washed my pants before I came..." or some smart remark. It was so funny, but embarrasing so that's when we came up with these names of distinction. Notice I can't call baby Paul "small Paul" and I wouldn't call older Paul big, so we came up with Big Paul and Tall Paul. Just to note the two got along splendidly. The whole weekend was great, especially for me. It was Mother's Day weekend and Paul took us out to eat and bought me the best Key Lime PIE.
Sorry I don't have the pic's I wanted to post, I'll have to get them from Tall Paul, but look at how much Tom looks like his dad. Just about the same except the grey hair and stretched out frame.

Well HELLO...Updates on our apt

Wow, I can't believe how long it has been since I've updated my blog. It is super hard to manage a blog with little children. Today they are napping quite nicely and I don't have laundry up to my eyes...just my knees so I thought I'd post our up dates. But before I do here is a great picture of life with a two year old. Back at our old house Lydia helped make cookies for the first time. I turned my back for just a second and found four eggs nicely spread all over my newly mopped floor. Look at that face though, how could I get mad? I had to grab the camera to capture that classic mommy moment.

so far we are moved in, unpacked, and relatively clean. There are a few kinks to be worked out. You know little details like my washer and dryer not working, oh and my oven...and should I go on? So, yes a little nutty in the head that I have to still haul my laundry some where else to get washed but luckily I have good neighbors.

That's the update on the house and no, still phone just the cell.
