Today I went to town on the computer- sent off christmas letter, cleared out emails, and then I come to update this lovely blog. I decide to do two posts. Well, the best one full of Christmas FUN TIME pictures got blipped and took forever to load up anyway. Wow, do I have a love/hate relationship with this dang blog.
Umm, also I just want to be anal and point out that I don't always type a horribly puncuated greetings letter. Okay, maybe I do, but also I had a kid on my lap. That counts for something, right?
AND there was something else I wanted to say and can't remember now. Bumdedummer. Here's another bummer, it's snowing.
Okay, look at this. A picture finally downloaded. Geez-Louise! Aren't they super cute with frosting and candy all over? I love Christmas, it's so easy to make time go by when your husband is gone so much. Simply make 5,000 gingerbread houses. See, problem solved. Just enjoy the sugar drop. Yes, that's my favorite part too.
Okay, one more thing. Paul exclaimed today as we were looking at houses, "It's Snoofy!" (how does Charlie Brown get roped into Christmas decor?) and then Lydia says, "Oh, Sloopy!". BAHAHA it was so funny!

Ummm, yes I'm Thankful for my children. There ya go. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

a little taste of the last few months
Picking apples at Stover's...notice the dog. He's not ours just a prop tied to the barn bench...You know this is Indiana.
Oh Julie. You are so beautiful
and flexible
and full of character
and so into picking your nose.
a trio picture at the park. You know it's funny I can hear that exact over-bearing squeal Paul is vocalizing in this picture. Funny how you can do that as a parent. But look how cute Lydia is. Oh, they just LOVE Julia...even if she doesn't always appreciate all that "love".
End of summer sprinkler party. Can I just say that is classic Sprinkler form?! Good job Paul.
Beautiful Lyd. This truly is a captured moment that you lock in your heart.
and so is this. Gee wiz, I love being a mom. What a wonderful afternoon that was.

An Excerp from a letter to my sisters
I'm a tad homesick for Idaho, but even if I wasn't this is locked in my memory as the most therapeudic place in the world for me, doing what I love to do best...beside dance all night at a dance hall which is far and away completely opposite of this picture. (Why is it that the number 1 and 2 choices of relaxation for me are totally opposite of each other?)
"I love you guys. I find myself day dreaming about Idaho Falls. When I meditate I find myself on that road that turns into highway 30 by the airport runway on one side and playground on the other but I'm running in the direction of Reed's Dairy. I'm headed to the fields just outside the residential zone between Kenna and Robbie's house. I must be making up a road bc I can't place it, but maybe if I ever move back I'll find it. It's late afternoon, early evening and I'm running by golden fields silently bending to the breeze coming through and the sky is big and blue, spotted with fluffy white clouds, every now and then I find a patch of sky streaked with the sun's rays. I can smell the air- warm, but crisp and clear. Maybe some dirt kicks up every now and again and probably Reed's sneaks in. And I'm just running. I can hear the dirt road crunch, crunch, crunch under my sneakers. Every now and then I lick the dirt off my lips. Mmm, tastes like a good night to be alive. I'm telling you, nothing beats an Idaho summer. Don't take one night for granted. You guys live in the best town on earth. "

Keeping Posted
Blogging is hard to keep current, but my friend Jessica is so good at it. She's keeping me motivated. Oh this is rich, my baby just woke up and is wailing.
Okay, well that is how my life is going. Throw in some PB&J's and that's about right. Kids, kids and more kids; some pools, beaches, libraries and a funeral for my Granny. Oh and CANNING PEACHES!!!That sums it up. But I'll just have you know in my head I'm keeping up with my blogging.
Here's a cute line from Lydia today: "Thanks Mom. You are the best mom in your whole life."
