So Tom's parent's are coming into town for one day and one day only, but yep, you guessed it...I'm cleaning my house like a wild woman. I picked up a book on cleaning and real ways to clean your house and I LOVE IT!! Next time you need to clean up the mildew around your tub do this: baking soda and bleach, mix it to a paste (as much as you need to go around) scrub it on with a toothbrush. Let it soak for a couple of hours...I went out and did errands, then I used my scrub brush and scrubbed it down with water. I think if you want you can then rinse it with vinegar for you know added deoderizer, but I didn't think it needed it after baking soda and bleach!
See, how easy that was?! Currently I'm working on the crome on my stove, just finished all the mirrors in the place (for streak free and super shine try corn starch and warm water(apply with wash rag and give a little scrub), then rinse by spraying a little vinegar on your mirror and buffing out with a kitchen towel or microfiber towel. My mirrors are so shinny and streak free!
Okay, I better go wash my walls down stairs and then freshen my carpet. Try sprinkling baking soda on carpet and then let sit for a while. Come back and vaccuum. See how easy? Then light a candle and enjoy your sweet smelling home.
MAN, I should be a cleaning sales man! But let's face it, the in-laws are coming...it's almost time to count down! I need to start cooking....
I just love you Tara! You make me laugh so hard!! I love the cleaning tips, and can I just tell you how much I cleaned before my own family came. I can't imagine what state I would be in if my in-laws were to come. Crazy! James seriously wondered what happened to his wife how crazed I became with cleaning. No wonder I'm tired right now. Whew! btw, I need to clean my kitchen. Good luck with the doctor's tomorrow. I've had four this week, but two were for physical therapy, so that's not really a doctor's appt. :) Have a lovely day!
