One night Lydia did us the honors of waking Paul up. They were both so wired. Finally, at ten I told them the day shift was done and Mom was "off duty". Ten minutes later this is what I found. You can't see it very well, but Paul has a mouth full of Choco Puffs, Lydia Shredded wheat. Kids will be kids and moms will learn not to take a night off. haha.
Tara, thanks for sharing such candid moments! And thanks for your great example of just appreciating motherhood even when it is hard. I love that you can laugh at things like this and I wish that I could send Jane out to entertain your kids for a few hours!
ReplyDeleteTara- I love it! I too love that you are honest, and yes, by 10 PM, I too am so exhausted that I wouldn't care if my house burned down! Your kids are cute!
ReplyDeleteHey, that is what my kitchen looks like if I try to shower during the day! I've figured out that if I don't shower before they wake up I either have to wait until later(eww!!) or face the fact that I'll have bread and cereal all over the kitchen floor. The price we pay for a little mommy time! lol Ahh, kids.......
